The timing of our trip this year was dictated by needing to end up in Reno NV on August 26 for the biennial convention of the National Active and Retired Federal Employees (NARFE). Both Dianne and I are active in our local Chapter. Dianne is the Treasurer and the Webmaster, and I am the 1st Vice President. I am also one of 10 regional representatives on the national CAB (Configuration Advisory Board). We act as liaison between local leaders and the national IT staff. At the convention we offered hands-on-help for leaders with problems accessing the online resources. Momentous decisions were made at this convention regarding the future structure of our organization, and it was exciting to be a part of this next evolution of our history.
