Driving the Hypotenuse

In honor of Jan, we call this part of our drive today "Driving the Hypotenuse"! We left Arden Hills hotel at 7:11 am, and took an hour to get out of town. Driving I-694 west to I-35w south, we chose to drive diagonally across southern Minnesota along highways 169 south and 60 west. It's a bumpy ride, but mostly divided 4-lanes, with beautiful scenery, and interesting old towns. Alas, we passed up stopping at the Mayo birth place north of Mankato - we'll save it for another trip. For now, we're heading for the Corn Palace of Mitchell SD!
