We got to Rockford before we could check in to the motel, so we stopped first at the Midway Village Museum - a FABULOUS surprise! I went through the main museum, but skipped the outside museum in the rain. 😒 Nevertheless, I saw sock monkeys, the Rockford Peaches, and dozens of industrial enterprises. Well worth returning to some day! Now, it’s time to head for bed! Traffic was fierce, rain was intermittent, and I drove most of the way!
