Today begins our Drive 2017 - we're heading for Thanksgiving in Houston, and will visit family and friends along the way. The best photos of the day, however, are only in the mind's eye. We accepted Google Maps' suggestion to save 19 minutes with a faster route to Palm Desert, and ended up crossing Tehachipi Pass in the rain and FOG!! Then we crawled at 2 miles per hour along highway 138 during a construction zone - but we saw NO evidence of any work being done! No matter. We both agreed we LOVE traveling, and rejoice in this opportunity to explore our world, and to enter into others. Hope you enjoy this ride too! ❤️
